The Runner

"We were told it was just going to be a simple mission. Just "Jump" into a point outside of the Galdie System just close enough to drop a Probe and "Jump" back out before they could pick us out of the background noise of Space.
Well....that didnt happen now did it?" Nesson clenched his jaw tightly as the words slid from is mouth.

"So Nesson, what happened after your Commanding Officer discovered it was a trick?" asked the fairly pale man.

"Well sir...." he paused for a moment. "we did the only thing we could do, we turned tail and ran.....ran hard and fast."

"And they followed of course?"
"Yes"
"Did they fire upon the Aries at anytime?" the man asked as he adjusted the frame of his Glasses.

"Im not too sure, i was in the Infirmary speaking with the Doc about an old Belt Ball Knee injury. we were shooting the shit, then next thing in know im flat on my face with Alarms ringing in my Ears."

"So they fired on the ship then?"
"It's in the Report." Nesson said with a hint of Agitation.

"Ok Mr. Nesson, my time with you is done." The man said as he stood up from his chair and began heading towards the door.

"So wait...that's all?" he asked. "you're just gonna come in here and ask me stupid questions that have already been answered and then just leave?" Nesson was sweating now.

"We'll be in touch Mr Nesson. dont worry about that" With a smile that Pale Man turned to the the door as it slid to the top of the framing and exited the room as quickly and smoothly as he had come in.
Nesson sat there for a moment until he finally decided the meeting had really meant nothing, and was more then likely a way for the U.S.F to test its Members.


Story kinda sucks hahah, anyway i made this tonight using GIMP. it turned out pretty well i guess. i've had this idea in my head for sometime now so its nice to actually have a physical look at what i saw in my mind
